Manoj Misra
1954 - 2023
Once a forest officer, he took voluntary retirement from the post of Chief Conservator of Forests, Chattisgarh, to take up a role in civil society.
​
He went on to establish PEACE Institute, and co-founded the Yamuna Jiye Abhiyan and India Rivers Week - which would eventually grow into the India Rivers Forum.
​
Manoj Misra passed away on 4th June 2023, leaving behind an incredible legacy of work and compassion.
